The Boston Bruins brought back Petteri Nokelainen on Wednesday, signing the center to a multi-year contract.
Terms were not disclosed.
“I am really excited about being back with the Bruins,” Nokelainen said. “I was happy when I got traded to Boston last year and didn’t have any problems with coming back. So, I was really happy when they offered me a new contract.”
Nokelainen, 22, appeared in 57 games last season with the Bruins, scoring seven goals and 10 points.
A native of Finland, Nokelainen was selected 16th overall by the New York Islanders in the 2004 draft.
