Bubba Smith’s Death Autopsy
After he was found in the Baldwin Hills home, Bubba Smith, ex-NFL player and cinema star was feared dead. Although this happened way back in early August, autopsy reports have now revealed that his death came by as a result of drug abuse. The near gigantic player of legendary status was discovered dead by a caretaker. Smith was 66, and recent investigations have revealed that he suffered major weight loss problems before succumbing to heart problems and phentermine quantities. The player is reported to have been a victim of heart blockage in more than 75 percent of the blood vessels, which is so severe that only sportsmen with exceptional stamina can stay alive for a short time in such conditions.
Bubba Smith was known for his towering presence on the NFL turf with a height of 6 feet 7 inches. His participation in multiple clubs was inevitable owing to his ability to perform flexibly in different parts of the field. He earned great reputation as a player in the late 1960s and 70s. He started in the mid-1960s and was already an all-America pick in 1966. After being drafted in Michigan State in 1967, he served as a major contributor to the game over five seasons under Baltimore Colts. Besides that, his Super Bowl performances are part of the NFL folklore that people tell each other even today.
Smith’s role in television and cinema had also brought him glory. He acted in the famous movie series ‘Police Academy’. Television programs such as ‘Charlie’s Angels’ and ‘Half Nelson’ were also among the famous series where Smith can be remembered by his fans. The Texas born also appeared in Tales of the Gold Monkey, and The Odd Couple. Also remembered for his sense of humor, Smith once answered that his most embarrassing moment in life was when his mother named him ‘Bubba’!
For his fans, Bubba was a common face on sports commercials on the television. A college prodigy for the NFL, the legend had his most successful runs between the mid 1960s and 1973. He will always be known for his tremendous agility and speed, which many though would not last because of his towering physique.
